Cách phát âm
Ký tự お đại diện cho âm nguyên âm 'o', phát âm giống như 'o' trong 'oh' hoặc 'o' trong tiếng Tây Ban Nha. Đây là một trong năm nguyên âm cơ bản của tiếng Nhật. Âm này ngắn và sạch — được kéo dài trong văn viết bằng cách thêm う (おう, thường nghe như âm 'oh' dài).
