Ký tự ぬ đại diện cho âm tiết 'nu', âm 'n' nhẹ theo sau bởi 'u' (môi thả lỏng). Thuộc hàng な. Lưu ý: ぬ trông giống め (me) — nhưng ぬ có thêm một vòng kín ở phía dưới bên phải, trong khi め mở hơn.
